Artist's Comments
It's been a while since I drew an animal. Used mechanical pencil and colored pencil. The scanner made the image a little dull, since it didn't pick up much of the orange color. I had to use a photo reference since I'm not too familiar with frog and toad anatomy, let alone a particular specie.

As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. The only thing I'd suggest is to go a bit easy on the texture of the warts, bringing it out in certain areas but making it a bit less defined in others, just to add some variation and not make it look quite so "busy".
Overall, it's nicely done.
