It's been two weeks since hurricane hit my city. I had to spend a good deal of time moving things into the house and clearing up the yard after the storm.

It was no vacation, but I was extremely fortunate. Some trees were ripped apart, but damage to the house itself was minimal. My family got much needed help from friends. Many people's homes lost power, and my home got it back earlier than most.

Sorry, I haven't been good about commenting or submitting works like I used to. However, things are beginning to settle down. I hope everything is okay with everybody.

Oh yes, things could have been worse. I had relatives who lost everything in a hurricane a few years ago, but at least they evacuated before the storm made landfall. Thank you for your concern.

Sorry to hear that this happened to you and your loved ones. As well as sorry that I haven't commented on this journal sooner. I know hurricanes ain't pretty. It is good to know though that you do have power, and that things are moving forward in cleaning up. I hope it goes smoother, if there are still more stuff to take care of.

Well, no one was hurt or lost anything really valuable. It isn't bad at all in the grand scheme of things. Things are more or less back to normal now. Thanks for your concern though.
