I haven't been active on dA in either commenting or submitting art like I used to. I had some personal matters that had to be sorted out. Actually, there are still some issues to be resolved, but at least the worst of them are out of the way. At least I have a job, even if the pay and hours are not what I hoped, but it it gives me some badly-needed structure.
I probably regressed after not having been drawing in a very long time. A combination of being frustrated and having other things I want or need to do took a toll. I still enjoy art, but I lost a sense of direction when it comes to making it myself and knowing what I should do. However, if there is anything you want to discuss or see, let me know.

Rats
I've been some rat trouble in my home. Those things have been robbing me of my sleep for the last few days. In addition to fouling up anything they touch, they can cause quite a racket with their scurrying, squeaking and chewing. I tried to restrict access to food as much as possible. I'm no handyman, but I'll try to seal as best as I can. I found two possible entry points so far, but there is probably more considering how old the house is. I just got a pair of rat traps; I would prefer more and spread them all out, but it's not a good idea considering my circumstances. Hopefully the vermin will be under control.
Scanner Trouble
I was hoping to submit some drawings, especially since it's been a while since I added anything here...Unfortunately, It seems like my scanner won't turn on anymore. I checked to see if any was unplugged. Also I tried plugging the cord in another outlet. It might be the case, but I find it hard to believe that it would be broken considering I don't use it very often.
The good news is... I'll still have access to the school scanner although my window of opportunity to use it is pretty slim as of now.

My computer caught a nasty malware. It gives me phony warnings that my computer is infected with a virus in an attempt intimidate me to buy their phony anti-virus tool. What's worse...it disables the genuine security programs I have, the internet browser, and task manager. The administrator profile on my XP has not shown the same problems, so I tried running my anti-malware program from there...only to have them pop up again once I restart the computer. I need an excuse to bump off my last journey. For the past month, my mother and I were tidying up the rental home once every week. The last tenants trashed the place up. We spent a good deal of time just trying to get rid of the odor. Needless to say, pets are no longer allowed. I like animals, but considering what happened, we don't want another liability.
We finally got rid of the smell. The front yard was cleaned up. One of the walls was re-painted. The plants outside the home were neglected and died, so we planted some hardy roses that are require little maintenance in their place. Considering the age of the house, all sorts of problems

Well it's nice that you are back in some capacity.
There was a period here on DA that I as well stopped doing art for awhile, because of a lot of misdirection, confusion, and basically trying to find myself as a person, but since then I've been doing well, releasing pieces of art here and there, and have been writing a Green Lantern fan story that hopefully I can turn into a sorta web comic project, if not, I'll just release in text format.
In fact recently I've been thinking of eventually doing character Commissions so I can monetize my art in some fashion.
